Victor's Lament (1969-70) by Mark de Suvero was intended to be a sculptural extension of the Center for the Arts. Constructed of steel I-beams, it implies the Lehigh Valley as home of the steel industry. Still controversial, the Lehigh Valley landmark is a major icon of 20th century American sculpture. I chose to remove all the supports!
