The Moravian Book Shop, confirmed the oldest continuously operating bookstore in the world, was found in 1745. Samuel Powell of the Moravian Church Crown Inn opened the store on the South Side of Bethlehem. It is now a major attraction on Main Street in Historic Bethlehem, near the Colonial Industrial Quarter.
